How to validate the receipt number for H1B visa

Hi All,

I received a soft copy of I-797C which is different from the normal I-797C, it is white paper now.

with Received Date - June 6, 2012

Notice Date - June 7, 2012

Is it possible to send the notice so fast, i doubt the validity of the document. Can some one suggest how we can validate the I-797C form.

If you don't trust your employer then what is the point of staying with them?

Better to consult an attorney to review your I797.

Generally, the Beneficiary or Petitioner may check the status of a pending case on the USCIS website by typing in the receipt number in the case status search function. Also, the Petitioner may also call the customer service center to request a case status update.

=> It's important to note that only petitioner i.e. employer/ attorney can call to USCIS to know the update. The beneficiary/ employee cannot call to USCIS. Because H1b processing is paid by employer only, it’s their property and thus only they can know the update, not the beneficiary/ employee.

Dont doubt that document. No employer will forge that document if he has given it to you. It is a crime and he will be very well aware of it. So dont worry !
