F-1 to H1b

Hi,

I am cuurently pursuing my PhD and would be discountinuing the program. I have completed my Masters and had taken OPT before switching to PhD. I currently have a full time job and also got my H1b visa approved and will be starting work from Oct. 1st. However, I want to know if I couldn't register for the current fall semester in school, what are the implications and will I be able to stay in the US till Oct 1st and also kindly let me know if there are any other alternatives.

You need to register for fall, otherwise, you'd be out of status retroactively since the begin of summer recess.

I interned for the summer on CPT. Also, kindly do let me know if there are any alternatives whether do I have to go back to India and get stamping or I can stay in US till Oct 1st.
