I 797 extension

my consultant say form I797 expired last year.is there any to extend it or reapply for visa?

I did not went for stamping earlier and petetin approved in 2007

You mean to say that your I797 is expired and you are still in US without applying for extension??

petetion approved in 2007,did not went for stamping in and still in india so contacted consulatnt to go usa and he told i797 expired.

so what are the options to go usa(like extension reaaply etc) or petetion is of no use?

I think your employer needs to apply for new H1....I am not sure in this case. Wait for more replies.
