veeresh.rcr
Hi, Am filled My L1 B extension on Premium. But I have valid i-94 till March 2015. If L1 B Extension rejects Still I can work here (US) as Legal ? My Employer say I can work Legal after rejecting, based on my I-94. Please advise. Thank you in advance. Link to comment
nineballs
I think, you can very well work, even after your L1 extension gets rejected. since, your existing L1 petition and the corresponding I-94 is still valid. But I don't understand why your employer wants to file for an extension when you already have your I-94 till March 2015. As far as I know, If you file for an extension too much in advance (more than 6 months prior), its almost bound to get rejected. An experienced attorney can answer this better. Link to comment
Attorney_23
If you have an I94 valid until March 2015, why did your employer file a petition to extend your status? Link to comment

parasharn
In an another discussion, I read that you can sponsor your family visa even with a expired visa, valid I-94 and valid petition (as long as you are here). Experienced members please advise if this is true, as I too have same query. Thanks in advance Link to comment
Attorney_23
If a foreign national is in valid L1 status, his wife and children are generally permitted to apply for an L2 visa. Therefore, I still am confused as to why your employer filed for an extension. (And, I suspect it will be denied because you have nearly 3 years left of validity on your I94.) Link to comment
