Noob here, H1 to F1 to H1 scenario

Hey there, so I am taking up a H1 status job for the next 3 years after which i plan to go to grad school in the US which would place me in F1.

If I get a second H1 based job after the F1, how is this scenario different from 6 years straight on H1 status in terms of applying for a GC?

Generally, anytime in the U.S. not in H1B or L1 status will not be counted against the six year H1B limitation. Additionally, F1 is strictly a non-immigrant intent status and therefore if you have started a green card petition it may interfere with this status.
