dim Posted August 1, 2012 Report Share Posted August 1, 2012 My company proposes a relocation to the USA office on L1 visa. They are going to continue pay salary and taxes on it in my home country. My concern is, on L1 visa I supposed to have SSN but I will not have any income in USA and thus I will not pay any taxes. Is it legal? Link to comment
JoeF Posted August 1, 2012 Report Share Posted August 1, 2012 You will have to declare your worldwide income on your US tax returns. Also, unless your salary is on US levels, you won't be able to actually survive here. Living in the US is expensive... Link to comment
