H1 Amendment Premium Processing

Hi,

I have some queries regarding H1 amendment processing time, also needed some expert advice.

Here is the situation. Currently I am in India. Stamping is done. My H1 is getting expired in Oct 2012. Due to "material changes" my petition needs an amendment and my employer will file for premium amendment processing by 5th Aug 2012. Here are some of the questions I have.

1. How long does it take for amendment premium processing?

2. Could you please let me know how soon can I travel to US in this scenario.

3. My passport is already stamped. Do I have to stamp it again after amendment ?

4. Will there be any problems in my extension filing looking at this crunched timeline?

5. Any other expert advice.
