san4u28
Hi All, I had applied for H1B in Apr 2012 and I have got an approval for only 1 year. I work on a EVC model, I have provided all the documents including Client Letter and Vendor letter. Please suggest if I can file a petition to re-consider or should I just wait and file extension again next year? Also what scenario might have caused this? Link to comment

I would say file for extension next year. Link to comment
JoeF
They nowadays often approve an h1 for the duration of the project. Get away from EVC, and you'd get a longer H1 validity. Link to comment
san4u28
Thats the trade off for an early GC and also get to keep switching jobs incase you are not happy with it. Also in my case I am waiting for my Priority date to be current, so dont want to start all over again. Link to comment
