Can we go for stamping when we already have valid H1b visa

Hi Guys,

I have my H1B visa until, Sept 29, 2012. I got my H1B renewal approved from Sept 30 , 2012 .. I am checking if I can go for H1b visa stamping before Sept 29, 2012 ?

Any body in this situation ? Howz vancouver now a days ?

Yes. You can go. you will have to have the new petition information filled in the DS 160 and let the officer know of the issue.

yes, you can go for visa stamping before 29th Sept, as there is no rule that you should not go for visa stamping before your visa expiry.

I'm not in this situation but heard about this from one of my friend who did that earlier without any issues and got stamped, also not sure on vancouver stamping.

I am in the same boat,

Please somebody help us with correct suggestion , whether itsa good idea to go for stamping before visa expires? As I heard of ..

1. If visa gonna expire in week while u go for stamping ,then visa office gonna cancel that 1 week visa time and asks you questions to give you visa or not.

2. if you have 2 months of valid visa remained while u attend interview , they have no previlage to cancel this 2 months visa , even your visa is refused your previous 2 months visa validity remains as is..

This is what I heard of , anyone confirm it or any suggestions is greatly appreciated......
