Approved I-140 porting Priority Date

Hi,

I have an I140 under EB3 PERM. Now we need to apply for a EB2 Category and port the priority dates from my current I140 with another employer.

My current Priority date is nov 2006 and would like to retain this date. will it be possible to retain the same with my New Employer under EB2.

Please give your opinion.

There're have been innumerous articles related to it. Please read 140 section. Yes you can do it. File new PERM that is classfied under EB2 and file 140 EB2 visa petition once your PERM is approved , during which you can retain your earlier EB3 PD.
