Work with L1 employer... urgent advise needed

I am currently in USA working with my L1 employer on a valid visa and I94 till 2014. Another company has filed H1B with COS and the visa approval is currently pending.

However, i would like to continue working with my L1 employer post Oct 1 even if the H1 visa is approved. Please advise on the different alternatives on how can i continue working with l1 employer after oct 1? Should i ask the H1 employer to withdraw the application?

You said your visa is valid till 2014. If your H1B gets approved with new I-94, leave the country before Oct 1st and renter using your L1 visa.
