Anyone attending Visa Interview on 16th august - Vancouver

Hi Guys,

Any one attending visa interview on 16th august, travelling or willing to share accommodation.

Could some of you who already been there suggest best way to reach vancouver from east side (EST) and place to stay close to the consulate.

I am having August 16th as my current slot at Vancouver. I thought of flying from Columbus, OH but didn't plan anything as of now. Can you please let me know from which place you thought of fly/drive?

Hey I am also having appointment on August 16. I am reaching Vancouver at around 10 PM on Aug 15th. I also did not plan on stay yet and willing to share accomodation.

If you are from East coast and have appointment in Vancouver, your best bet is to FLY, plan to reach a day before your appointment.

I had my visa approved a month ago, here is what I've done for accommodation.

Flew to YVR airport, rented a car in the airport, since we have plans to cover places around Vancouver. Things are bit expensive in Vancouver, especially in Downtown. If you are renting a car, be prepared to pay overnight parking fee to the motel (approx 25 a for full day) Check with the motel before booking.

We booked a motel room ($136 /night)close by the embassy for 3 days(until we're done with the interview) and then booked another motel near by Airport for the rest of the stay (got Sheraton a 3 start hotel for $63 /night through Priceline bidding), Loomis courier location is around 4 km away from motel.

I do have Apt. on Aug 21st, Planning to travel on 20th from SFO, No Plan yet.

But Thinking to book the hotel which is 2Kms to Consulate @ http://www.patriciahotel.ca/rooms-rates/
