Same as in any other country...

You can use your existing plan, but it would be international roaming, which is very expensive.

Or you could get a Canadian SIM card, e.g., a prepaid one.

Yup, you can use with Intl rate of $15.36/MB on smart phone & $10-15/min on voice.

Dude this forum is for immigration issues, not for personal problems.

Google att in canada, click on the first link. If you don't understand then call ATT customer care.

Assuming you mean an AT&T Wireless cell phone, if you use it in Canada it will register on Rogers or Telus network and charge you international roaming and data rates -- which are very expensive. (Applies to a WiFi as well as a cellular connection.) The only cheaper option for a short time in Canada is to get a temporary international rate plan from AT&T before you go to Canada. Contact AT&T and they can explain the options. If your are in Canada for a longer period, such as 2-3 months, then you can get a local month to month plan, such as from Bell Canada. However that requires an unlocked cell phone, and you cannot call or text the U.S.
