The fastest would be attending a consulate in-person. Check with consulate if they accept in-person applications NY does accept in-person walk-in. I read Detroit stopped accepting in-person in some threads.

So just check website and reconfirm through email/phone if possible.

Applications which are mailed are taking around than 35+ days in both Detroit and NY as per other forums and threads.

Fastest way to get Canada VIsa is to go in person rather than sending documents through post. I got it mine from Los Angeles. I went in person

Hey i am not sure about Detroit but i am pretty sure about NY that they accept inperson application. One more thing if u r not near NY or LA and u have somebody there check the representative form it may help you. One thing for sure is they are accepting inperson application in NY and not in Detriot...

I received my visa within 29 days from Detroit. I specifically mentioned it needs to be processes sooner because my interview day is in early Aug. I have also sent a copy of interview confirmation.
