H1B Transfer - Change of Fields

Dear Users,

I need your guidance on the following topic of H1b transfer.

1. I am on h1b which is valid till Jan-2014 on IT professional designation.

2. I have done masters in science from USA university and now want switch my job in science field. I will be also pursuing part time PhD while doing my future science job if possible.

3. My existing IT company is going to file green card for me in couple of months

4. Is there any possibility I can transfer the H1b visa from IT to any science company? FYI, I have 8+ years of experience (4+ in USA) for IT but don't have any experience in Science field where I am fresher.

I am confused so far. Please guide.
