H1-B Extension processing times

My company applied for my H1-B extension under normal processing in the month of February 2012 - VSC and the USCIS case status is still showing Initial Review. It has been 5 months already but the USCIS website says the turn around time as 2 months for extensions. Please let me know if anyone else is on the same boat and/or received approvals.

Hi Praveen... I received an RFE on my H1B extension (Premium Processing).

I have an approved I140. Waiting for Reason for RFE - Vermont Centre.

I am in the EVC model.

Receipt Date: 07/10/2012

RFE Date: 07/16/2012

I94 Expiry: 08/23/2012

I will update you on my case.

I would suggest you to update your case to premium processing so you will get result in 15 calender days.

The VSC processing times on USCIS website are current as of April 30, 2012. Thus, the actual processing times may vary. If the case appears to be outside the normal processing time the employer or attorney of record should place a status inquiry with USCIS. Additionally, the employer may upgrade the case to premium processing at any time prior to adjudication.
