H1 to EAD while 485 is pending (retrogressed)?

Hi, my husband (primary applicant) and I (student) got our EADs few months ago. It appears that our 485 processing has been delayed as we may have been affected by the retrogression (although there's no way to know).

Our priority date is July 08 and husband is still on H1. Is it recommended for him to start using his EAD now?

What makes you think there is no way to know.based on your PD, yes your cases have retrogressed.

He can continue on H1 for its validity period and switch to EAD after its expiry.

The only reason to continue working on H1 is if you suspect something might go wrong with your I485 and will be denied.
