Husband and wife H1B visa stamping together

Hi,

Me and my husband will be travelling next month to Mumbai,India and wil be going for H1B visa stamping as the visa for both of us has expired.

My question is:Is it possible for us to take a single appointment although we work for different employers?

Anybody has attended a single interview and had any issues?

Please share your experiences.

You can request to be interviewed together to the officer who collects your documents as long as your interview is on the same day.

I wanted to know when boking the appointment dates,is there any way online I cna slect this option?

Also the documents just need to be submitted to the VISA office(for MUMBAI location) 3 days before the interview but the actual date and time is booked online by entering the HDFC fee receipt and bar code on confirmation page fo form DS 160.

You will need two appointments - one for each H1B application. Try to get it on the same day/time and ask the officer to be interviewed together.

There used to be an option before which used to ask for any dependents attending the interview and for which visa classification. Am not sure if its still there. Also since H1 is for every individual they might want seperate appointments.
