Stamping in October

Hello,

I had received a 221g in Ottawa in February. So I came back to India and have been working remotely. After coming to India, I changed my employer and joined the Prime Vendor with my client. He had promised me he would apply a new H1. He applied a new H1 but with regular processing. When i asked him why regular and not premium, he told me, I wont be able to go to stamping before October anyhow. So, he applied it that way.

I just wanted to know if thats the case. Am I only eligible for stamping in October? Please reply.

Yes. If your effective start date is October 1st 2012. You wont be able to attend to Visa interview before september 22nd. I am in the same situation but i amm currently in USA on F-1. So i am going to canada for Visa stamping in October.

One can go for appear for stamping 90 days before H1B start date but can enter US only 10 days before start date. So you can go for stamping anytime after July 1st if your date is Oct 1st.
