cap gapi20 data fix error

Hi

I got my H1b approved which starts from oct 2012,My OPT Extension ends on july10,2012,Due to data fix error my university did not issue my cap-gapi20,It may take upto 1month for USCIS to fix data error and send i20,so can i work after my opt end date as USCIS did not update my data.

Until the date fixes you cannot work. It's seems stupid but it is what it is. Even though it's problem in SEVIS system, you have to suffer.

There is a process to escalte the Data fix issue, Please search for that ans tell your DSO to escalate that to the SEVIS explaining your condition, It might help.
