H1B (I- 94) validity issue

Hi Everyone,

I had a question about my H1 Visa.

I have visa stamping for 5 yrs (2012 to 2016), but my H1 petition validity is till Nov 2012 ( my company filed my H1B petition in 2009).

I recently travelled from India to US, in Port of entry they gave me I- 94 valid till Nov 2012 bcz my petition is valid till that time even though I got stamping for 5 yrs.

My employer said that they will apply for extension

Now my question

if travelled to India after my extension do I need to go for stamping? Or any problems I would face in port of entry?

Am planning to bring my family in this Dec

Please suggest me so that I would plan accordingly
