L2 EAD Renewal Queries

Hi,

My husband is in L1 visa and his visa expires on July 27th, 2012.

And Iam working on L2 EAD and my EAD also expires on July 27th, 2012.

And due to our passport renewal process my husband's L1 VISA renewal process is going to be initiated only next week in premium process.So the L1 extension papers are expected to come in next 2 to 3 weeks.

Now my questions are

1)My L2 extension will also be applied along with his L1-visa.But can we also apply for EAD renewal along with this?

2)If yes, how long will it take for me to get my EAD

3)Can I continue to work in this period?

4)Or instead of waiting for my husband's L1- visa extension can I do e-filing for EAD renewal?

5)Or Please let me know if there are any better suggestions.
