H1B petition receipt no - how many days

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone whose H1B petition sent to USCIS on June 11th (last day of acceptance) has received the receipt number yet ?

Generally how many days it might take to get the receipt number ?

Which process did you filed for if it is premium process you need to receive within 3-5 business days.

As per USCIS they are under heavy load and taking 2-3 weeks for PP or regular cases. In regular add 1-2 weeks more for postal time. In PP they send first by email.

If you have applied with premium processing, your attorney will get the receipt in an email by 12 or 13. The actual receipt will be received by your employer in two Weeks.

And I know of some friends who had their packet received by uscis on 11th. They applied premium processing and they got receipts emailed to them by 13th

H1B petition sent to USCIS in Regular Processing on June 11th (last day of acceptance) and i have not received the receipt number yet. My OPT Expires on June 30 2012. Can i become eligible for Cap - Gap I-20. Can i continue working or not. Please guide me.

Can I change the Application which is in regular processing to premium processing before getting receipt Number.
