Bohu_ele
Hi all, I am a full time employee at xyz company. I did not reach H1B quota for this year and my stem OPT extension is expiring in mid of next year March, i.e., before next year H1B applications are accepted. Since I am with in 60 days grace period of OPT, my Univ. can extend my stay till Sep 30, but they said I am not authorized to work. My company is intrested in sponsering my H1B in next year, but my question is do I need to wait until Oct 1st to get started working or can I have my H1B start date early. I am worried, what my company will say if I will not be available for 6 months for work. Please share your valuable suggestions. Thanks in Advance. Link to comment
JoeF
You need to wait to work until Oct. 1, once your OPT expires. Link to comment
