fishaq
Hi, So I've found a University in San Jose, CA who is willing to give me CPT from day one. This is not to dodge USCIS but I have to do Masters and keep working too so I've decided that I will use the later part of my OPT(got it after undergraduate in 2010) to be completed in Oct, 2012. Then get new I-20 for semester starting in Jan 2013. In January I apply for CPT and start working on CPT till April 2012 when the new H1Bs will be filed and I keep renewing my CPT till Oct 2013. My current employer is letting me have a break between Oct 2012 till Dec 2012 as I will not have any work permit. Any problem with this thing which I am planning to do? Truly appreciate your comments. Link to comment
rahul412
Dude you are putting your future at risk. Like many people said "CPT from Day 1 is illegal" no matter which university it is. You cannot do both work and study with your student visa. Link to comment
JoeF
That's a fake university, and they are watched by ICE. I suggest you stay far away from them. Of course, if you want to get deported and get a lifelong ban, go ahead... Forget CPT, in particular from day one. No real, accredited university will do that. Link to comment
