Hi, I am currently on H1-B visa and have a two part question on timing between two employers.

  1. If I quit current employer how much time there is between last day of work and filing of H1 by new employer?
  2. If there is a gap as mentioned in part 1, will the new H1 be still a transfer (so not under cap) or will the employer have to file for a fresh H1?
