H1B Transfer and Resignation

Hi,

I am working full-time on a H1B visa with company A.

I have a full-time offer from company B. Company B is working on my H1B transfer. They have already applied for my LCA on 6/13. They will get the LCA certified on 6/20, and will file the petition with the forms, the fees and support letter to CIS.

My target start date is 6/25.

My question is when should I turn in my resignation with company A since I do not want company A to revoke my H1B before 6/20, the day my petition is filed.

Normally companied will have notification period. So If you submit your resignation today, You will have to wait until notification period (2 weeks or 3 weeks). This time should be enough for you to move to company B.
