Recapture time H1-B extension

Hi,

My H1-B is getting expire on Aug 2012, and I have around 2 months of recapture time. My PERM has just applied last month.

I don’t have any faith that I will get my perm approved before my expiration date. I asked my employer to apply H1 extension for the recapture time.

My Qn:

1. Usually how long its takes for an H1 extension for recapture time? (Assume its not a premium processing)
   
2. If I don’t get extension approved by Aug 2012, can I stay till my 6 yr completion including recapture time (e.g Aug + 2months = October 2012)?
   
3. Do I need a client letter for this recapture time extension?
   

Any other possible options will be appreciated.

=> There is nothing called "H1-b extension for recapture time". It’s always H1b extension and treated like a new petition. In regular processing it is taking 3-4 months, in PP 15 days from receiving.
