h1b expiring soon..on EAD..

Hi, my H1B is expiring in the next month, I have my EAD approved. How important renewing my H1B when I am on EAD? I only heard one negative factor, i.e., what if I-485 is rejected? If that it is the case, I am out of the status and need to leave the country. I am ready to take this risk.

Are there any other impacts being on EAD wihtout H1B?
