Updating LCA with salary Hike

Hi

I have a valid H1 visa , 3 months after my H1 approval I got a salary hike of 15%(No change in Job location or responsibilities or title.)

. How do I update the LCA with the new salary, my attorney says that I have to do a Amended H1. Is this the only way to update the LCA?

My friend says that he update his salary hike in LCA without Amended H1. If then what is the procedure called.
