New H1B and H1B Transfer ..Please Help!

Hi,

This is my first h1b application.My current employer shared only the EAC number with me. I checked the status online and it says "Case approved. document sent to petitioner/employer". He did not give me my i-94 or 1-797. whenever asked, he will affirmatively state that he will scan and send my document. to all employees out there,can you please let me know a proper way to ask an employer for an official i-94 who is not willing to share any document with me??

I did an online research and found out that i need to staple the original i-94 to my passport. My h1b is effective october 1st.

I want to transfer my h1b to another employer and i am willing to change my employer due to my current situation. Any suggestions on how to ask for documents and how to transfer smoothly? Your reply is greatly appreciated. Thanks
