HelpMeForum Posted June 11, 2012 Report Share Posted June 11, 2012 Hello forum, I'm travelling to Vancouver for my visa stamping, my employer is running my pay stubs with per-diem in it for the last 2 years, though I dont use all the amount for travelling, what should be the convincing answer to the consulate guys? do they verify my answers ? JoeF Posted June 11, 2012 Report Share Posted June 11, 2012 Per diem does not count as salary. Your salary has to match or exceed the higher of the prevailing wage and the value listed in the LCA. If it doesn't, you would not get a visa, and you would run into lots of other trouble. Link to comment
HelpMeForum Posted June 19, 2012 Author Report Share Posted June 19, 2012 Yes, my salary exeeds the prevailing wage which is 56K. i live like 12 miles away from my work. and my employer is about 40 miles away from my work. Can I say that my employer pays for the apartment I live in, all the allowances etc? Link to comment
