L1B Expired living on 1-94, L2 visa done and EAD received after L1 expiration. Can L2 Work if L1 goes back to India

Hi All,

I am on L1 and my visa is expired on Nov 2011. I did my wife's L2 visa before my visa got expired. I applied for EAD for her in Sep 2011 and we received EAD in Jan 2012. My I-94 is valid till dec 2013. So is my wife's L2 i-94. both same i-94 expiry date. my wife got L2 EAD after my visa got expired. her ead exipry date is also the same as i-94 date. We applied for her H1 this year. We received an RFE. It is a conversion from L1 to H1. We would like to inquire if I leave to India, can she still work since her i-94 is valid and also has EAD.

does her status becomes invalid if I leave to India.

We need urgent help on this to confirm
