Step 1

At the ground floor, visa person (not officer) asked to sort our the documents.

  1. Passport
  2. Canadian Permanent Resident Card
  3. I-129
  4. Original I-727

All supporting documents:

  1. Employer Letter to US Consulate requesting visa
  2. Offer of Employment
  3. Client Letter (notarized)
  4. Employer-Employee agreement listing my duties and responsibilities
  5. Employer Tax filings & List of Employees in the payroll.

All these documents are rolled and tied using rubber band

Step 2

After Step 1, proceeded to 10th floor escorted by security. There another security screening and waited for my number. This visa person called, and checked all the documents. She asked about any prior US visas. I told i already had B1/b2 visa. She asked whether am i living in Ontario (ON) or not as my current address stated Ontario. She then marked 'ON' in

the appointment letter ans asked me to wait.

Step 3

Another person called me and took 'fingerprints'. At this moment she returned my PR card. She also told me 'As you have

mentioned all the information are true in the form, she told me to speak only Truth during the Visa interview'. I didn't know the rational behind it and just nodded 'yes'.

Step 4:

Finaly step, grand finale !!!

1. How long you have been working for the current employer?

2. How long you worked for your previous employer?

3. What about your family?

4. Where is your family? Are they coming with you to US?

FYI-> I went alone, and my family will go for H4 soon @ Toronto.

I told as of now, my kids are having school and they will appear stamping soon.

5. What is your highest educational qualification?

6. When did you leave US?

7. How many years/months you worked in USA? Total H1b duration...

8. Who is your client?

9. How long is the contract for this client?

I told contract is 5 years BUT i will work till the H1b duration.

10. Which city you will work in USA?

Finally she told me the magic word "Your Visa is approved, you will receive the passport within 3/4 Business days"

My tip: Talk firm and confident, your voice will convey that you are well prepared. Again please do not raise the voice as it may sound arrogant.

So stick to your own sweet bold voice !!!!

My backgroupd: I am a Canadian PR based outof Toronto. I went all the way to Calgary as my employer suggested that i will get less questions. Again nothing to speculate, it all depends on your scenario and luck.

Best of luck to the future US aspirants !!!

Thanks - jayrad
