I attended May 7 th H1b stamping in Chennai.Got 221g Pink.

Working full time one of Non profit organization.Had a Common Muslim name.Its already 5 weeks completed.

Visa Interview for H1B

Interview Date : May 7th 2012

Location : Chennai

Common Muslim Name : YEs

It took me 11 months to get my visa processed back in 2010. Chennai consulate, ppt retained, pink slip issued, no docs asked for. After 7 months of wait, I took back my ppt, but the processing was still pending, and finally at the end of 11 months (exact) visa issued.

they took 5 weeks for processing @ ottawa for me , I guess it was background verification because of the common name.

again its all case to case so dont make any calculations but just pray and stay strong.
