jayvini
Hi, I have question. My friend aged 69 who has been approved for I 797 will be approaching the consulate for the stamping of L1 Visa. However the fear is that his wife had been denied 7 times B1-B2 visa, so he fears that if he qualifies for L1 will his wife be denied L2 Visa? Does frequent denial of a B1/B2 Visa of a L1's dependent is a hurdle? If a L1 one is eligible then too because of his wife's history who is a applicant of L2 visa can he be denied a L1? Please guide. Thank you, Link to comment
Attorney_23
The L visa allows for dual intent. So, people who are denied a B1/B2 visa because of inability to demonstrate nonimmigrant intent are oftentimes able to obtain an L1/L2 visa because immigrant intent is not an issue. Link to comment
