I am an OPT student and my opt expires on Mar 2013...I have recently applied for H1b and and it got approved with effective start date from Oct-2012 ... Now My Question is I need to go to India in the month of August2012, So can I get my H1b visa stamping while I am in India in the month of August..can some one please answer.... Link to comment

Because your visa is expired and you would need a valid visa to enter us so you can only go for stamping/enter usa after september 22nd because they would allow you enter just 10 days prior to you start date and not before that.
