H1B application fee deducted with out providing the receipt number

Hi,

I have a query regarding my H1B.I applied H1B in May'2012 but didnt yet received the receipt number.My employer was saying that the application fee check was deducted and they asked for I94 document without providing the receipt number.

So i would just like to know whether this case really happens like not providing the receipt number even after deducting the amount.I am bit tensed whether my case was considered or not as the cap count was almost near to closure.

USCIS deposits the check, and they send out receipt notices both to the company and their lawyer.

The receipt notices can take a while. If I remember right, USCIS had a glitch that caused delays of up to 60 days for the receipt notices.

=> You mean RFE? USICS cannot issue RFE without receipt.

USCIS takes time this days to send receipt notice. I got 3 weeks after my check was deposited. Also, you can see receipt number on check deposited on bank's website, so, you can ask your employer to check his/her bank transaction & check image to get receipt number.

What is the exact H1B filing date ? Is it regular or premium processing ?

H1B filing date is on May -08 and its a regular processing..
