First time H1b stamping in Canada-COS from J1

Hi all,

I came to US on a J1 visa in 2005, converted to H1b in 2010. Is it advisable to go to Canada for H1b stamping?. I work in a University and have never been outside of US since 2005. Any suggestion will be valuable.

Should not be any issue. Make sure to carry all your documents (J1/H1 etc). Good Luck!

Thank you. Most of the threads that I read says not having done any studies in the US or Canada makes it difficult for the officer to verify my case and they will ask to appear at a home country consulate.

Hi Saxena did you go through with Canada stamping .I yes could you please post your experience.I am in a similar situation and looking for answers (h4 -J1 -h1)

Ps are u the same person who had problems getting Trv ?
