hdsh4help
Hi, I have a situation.I have applied for H1-B for 2013 quota pending for approval. I came here on F-1 visa for Master of Science but havent completed my degree yet(left with my thesis which I am working on planning to defend in coming months). I am planning to go to India this winter and as my H1 starts from Oct, I will have to apply for visa stamping. I know from my friends that they ask for your degree while stamping. My question is: How likely is it that my visa will be denied if I dont complete the degree and go back for stamping. Also is there a problem at port of entry after coming back. Would really appreciate an answer on this. Thanks! Link to comment
giri26
I would suggest you finish your degree and then go for stamping. You might be in trouble if they find out you did not complete your Masters before getting your H1 Done. Link to comment
hdsh4help
@Giri26: Thanks for the prompt reply. I am trying to get it done before I leave but was curious. One more thing is do we have to have submit the degree while stamping or it is only when they ask in the interview that we have to produce. In the meantime I am going to check the website too.
