Can I stop attending school after getting h1 approval?

Issue : Hello, I am on f1 status(doing my MBA). My opt is valid until 01/2014 (graduation date). Currently, I also have a part time CPT that i got from my school . I work in a consulting firm at this time. They have applied my H1 this year(April 2012)which will be in effect this November, if approved. My question is: Do I still need to go to school even if I got an approval for h1? I used regular processing but thinking of using Premium if I don't need to go to school. Do I need to attend school until November? Please help

Answer to your question would be "Yes". No matter what the outcome of your H1B application, you have to maintain your F1 status until H1B status activates. Unless, if you have requested a different "Activation date"( in some cases, applicant can request a specific activation date other than oct 1).

Until the H1 starts, you would have to be in legal status, and in your case that means you would have to attend classes as required for the F1.
