New H1b Stamping while previous H1b Stamping Pending under 221G

I had attended H1b visa interview as direct employee on 26^th April 2012 and got 221g yellow writing PIMS on it. It is been 5 weeks but no updates from consulate.

My Current company (one for big IT Company) H1b petition got approved

1. Can I go for visa stamping with new approved petition when the previous is in pending
   
2. Do I have to cancel the previous pending visa application before attending
   

Please..Please suggest, literally dying with tension…

There are so many guys who are waiting for longer time than you.

You can go for visa stamping , but don't go to same consulate again

I don't think there is a process to cancel previous pending visa application. You can just ignore it.

Now-a-days consulate is checking for PIMS for most of the applicants. So there are chances for you to again get PIMS verification.

Anyways its worth a try.
