Navya1 Posted May 30, 2012 Report Share Posted May 30, 2012 Can anyone share exp of H1B stamping at Kolkata Consulate .I am a full time employee of a small company ( 20 employees in US ) and i am the only H1 employee all others are green card or citizens of US .Do these things even impact stamping ? Thanks in Advance ! Not at Kolkata but I got my VISA approved at Mumbai. I am also a fulltime employee of a SMB (13 employees in US) and I am the only non-immigrant. Hope this helps. Link to comment

I would recommend you carry all the possible documents such as Photo HDFC Fee Receipt DS – 160 Confirmation Letter Original H1 B Packet with Original I-797 - from employer Degree Certificates Transcript - if available Mark sheets Tax Returns with W-2. If any education credit claimed, then take Form 1098-T Bank Statements - latest Pay Stubs (4/5) - latest Current Employment Verification letter - latest Client Letter Salary Raise letter - if available Employment Offer Letter - if available Copy of Driver’s License, SSN, Electricity Bill for proof of address Employer brochures Latest Resume List of employees specifying you are the only non-immigrant Note: This list is not concrete I was interviewed for around 5-10 minutes and common questions Employer related Work Address About your job desc Brochers How many employees Is it a startup how long you been working dates for last all visits to US etc Link to comment
