H1B Extension Applied under PP [ 6 yrs completed ] - I-140 Approved

Hello Friends,

Thanks to murthy.com for their effort in clarifying all the doubts of our posts.

One quick question - I applied for H1b Extension under PREMIUM PROCESSING going to finish my 6 yrs in Aug 2012. My I-140 is Approved .

Will I get three yrs extension or 1 yr extension .

Is Applying for H1B extension after 1-140 approval is same as filing new H1B does the USCIS fees is same as new H1B or differs since I-140 approved .

Please clarify -

The h1b extension period is up to the discretion of the USICS. They can approve for 1,2 or 3 years based on your case.

The filing fee still remains the same even if the I140 is approved.
