Green Card & Export Controls

Hi

I recently got a green card through my employer. I have a question on export controls and how this effects permanent residence green card holders. What kind of foreign nationalas are exempt from EAR? Am I correct in saying for purposes of EAR and ITAR, US Citizens & Permanent Rresidence (Green Card holders) are not subject to export controls?? I just need clarification as a Green Card holder to pass along to my employer? What options do I have?
