raghuraj
Hi, This is my second H1B. My first H1B was EVC model. First I got 221g and asked to submit the documents and after submitting the documents I got response that my H1B is send for revocation. Now I got the new H1B approved which is filed by my prime vendor with same client so now my status changed to EC model. My attorney says I can carry xerox copies of I797... can I do that.. May I know what questions might be asked?? If the VO asks about my old petition what should I answer. Please guide me. Thanks Raghuraj Link to comment
lostpacket
Just tell the truth about your new employment and may be explain (if given a chance) the employee-employer relationship. Its recommended to carry the original I797 but a copy of that shouldn't matter. Contact VFS though.. Link to comment
raghuraj
I went for stamping yesterday at Hyderabad Consulate and Vo gave me a white 221g slip and asked me to submit an updated client letter. I was having old client letter which I showed him but he asked me to submit the updated client letter and said if I can submit it he can issue me the visa. Now I contacted my employer he is ready to provide the client letter. What are my chances after submitting the letter and how many days it might take to get an update. Will the Vo ask any questions to the client??. Link to comment
lostpacket
There is no guarantee. The visa officers are whimsical. I have seen cases where people waited for USCIS case reaffirmations and still VO rejected the visa AFTER the reaffirmation by USCIS. So VO will use their own brain. There would be delay !! Be prepared. Link to comment
