Previous work experience letter required for GC?

Hi all,

I’m currently with Employer A and will be joining another Employer (B) in couple of weeks and my new employer will be initiating GC for me.

Could you please let me know if I would need to obtain a work experience letter from my previous employer in order to meet the necessary documentation for GC process? I’m afraid I would be getting the letter in 2 weeks time and not sure if I will be later on.

If this is case and if the letter is required – what should I have to do? Are there any other alternatives that can be shown for proof of employment if requested?

Experience letter is required in I-140 if you've not attached in PERM. Generally it takes approx 3-4 months to file PERM. So, you've plenty of time to get experience letter from previous employers.

Now, if your employer will not give then you can submit self-affidavit + 2 colleagues' affidavit(who worked with you during that employment) will also work.

I am worked as Physical Therapist in medical office along with manager/CEO & receptionist. Only 3 person.

Manager is not ready to provide experience letter. What should I do?
