Moving residence while on OPT after H1B has been filed.

Hello,

I was hoping if someone could tell me what would be the effect of me changing my residence while on OPT after my employer has applied for h1b? I'm just moving to a new apartment in the same city. Everything else(client, vendor etc) is the same.

No effect. You have to file AR-11 anyway and report the change of address to your school's DSO.

H1B Petition must have been filed under your employer or their lawyer's address, that will not get affected.

Because you are on F1 status, let your DSO know about this address changed. Once you are on H1b status i.e. from Oct 1st, search "USCIS H1b address change". You need to update your address online on USCIS site.
