Tanda
My H1B Visa expires by Aug 22, 2012. I got the H1B extension approved from Aug 23, 2012 to Mar 2013. I will be in India during June last week and I am planning to go for stamping. If I go for stamping, is there any issue in me traveling back in the month of July as the new extension starts from Aug 23, 2012. Please clarify. My wife will apply for H4 stamping using the extension. Whether she can travel in the month of july. Please clarify. Link to comment
livliv
Yes, both of you can apply for your Visas using the extended petition and travel. You will have to show both petitions at the port of entry. Link to comment
SameerH1Bworker
You do not need to go for stamping, if you don't want. In that case you both need to come back BEFORE visa stamp on your passport expires. At POE, show your new extension & you'll get I-94 based on it. If you want to go for stamping then its your choice but just wanted to let you know its optional in your case, as you've valid visa stamp to come back. Link to comment
