Urgent help regarding pay stubs

My employer holds my pay stubs. so that I dont leave his firm. what actions can I take to get my paystubs from him?

In most states, labor law requires to get the pay stubs.

At the end of the year, you need to get a W2, anyway.

Other than that, you can of course make copies of your paychecks.

But in any case, I suggest you discuss this with a labor lawyer.
